2nd Sino-German Advanced Workshop on Wearable Computing

After the 1st Sino-German Advanced Workshop on Wearable Computing held August 25 - 28, 2010 in Chengdu, China, the main goal of this 2nd Workshop is to foster the collaboration and focus the research topic.

 

 

Due to the demographic change occuring in both countries the organisers identified the relevant topic of Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) as well as the research domain of Advanced Context Detection in Wearable Computing as a result of the discussions held during the 1st Workshop.

 

Aims of the Workshop:

 

  • Identify the hardware and software related state of the art
  • Develop a roadmap of AAL systems supporting the aging society at home and at work

 

Concerning the focus group of users the important issue of multi morbidity will be reflected and it will thus be worked on supporting systems especially for people with chronic diseases.
